Train travel along the up-country railway line was limited to Rambukkana due to heavy rain which washed away the railway lines between Balana and Ihala-Kotte.
The Railway Control Room says that due to this reason the “travel season” of the train from Colombo to Kandy has been cancelled.
They added that today’s journey to Badulla from Colombo at 8.30a.m. was also cancelled.
