Special security measures and traffic plan will be in place on Monday in and around the Election Secretariat in Rajagiriya in view of the handing over of nominations for the ‘Presidential Election 2019’, Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.Speaking at the Media Centre at the Election Secretariat yesterday, he said over 1,200 police personnel would be deployed for search operations and security on Monday, and that the STF personnel and intelligence officers would also be deployed where necessary.
