Former parliamentarian under arrest for alleged assault

Former parliamentarian from the Polonnaruwa District, Jayasinghe Bandara, has been arrested for allegedly attacking a person.Police say, the former parliamentarian had allegedly attacked a supporter of a different party. The incident had happened in Aralaganwila on Saturday night.  The former parliamentarian is set to be produced before the Polonnaruwa Magistrate.
