Five suspects allegedly in possession of Heroin, have been arrested following raids that were conducted in a number of areas.
According to police, a 46-year-old was arrested in Dehiwala for possessing 2.6 grammes of Heroin.
Another arrest was made based on a tip off that was received in the Middeniya area where a 22-year-old was found in possession of 2.6 grammes of Heroin.
Police further said that a 21-year-old resident of the Madampe area in Chilaw was also arrested for having in 2.5 grammes of Heroin in his possession.
Moreover, two individuals from Kuliyapitiya were arrested while transporting 5.9 grammes of Heroin.
The suspects are due to be produced before the court.
