Three members of the EPDP were sentenced to death by the Jaffna High Court on Wednesday, December 7.
They were charged with murdering two TNA members engaged in propaganda activities, during the 2001 elections and injuring another 20 persons.
Two of the three accused are currently residing in Europe. The Jaffna High Court issued an international warrant for the arrests.
