Developing EM, an Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Conference with a conscience, was held in Colombo on Tuesday.
The conference, a first of its kind to be held in Sri Lanka, was organised in order to educate delegates of faculties from 20 countries about the manner in which emergency services are conducted in countries across the world.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Danamala Rodrigo said that this conference used to happen in Brazil and Cuba – and is now happening in Sri Lanka for the first time, which means we have been exposed to the international community.
“It’s the exchange of ideas in this conference, which will have an ultimate impact on the society – to change and to play an advocacy role for the government”, he added.
