Four houses in the Puwarasankulama village in Paaniyankadawala, Anuradapura were damaged by wild elephants yesterday.
Area residents say that wild elephants enter the Puwarasankulama village frequently and that wild elephant attacks are a common occurrence in the area.
The elephants had also caused damages to crops in the village.
