Governor of the Southern Province, Hemakumara Nanayakkara spoke on the importance of all lives, at a briefing held on Thursday, November 24.
The Governor of the Southern Province said:
” I think we should have a day of lamenting and passing on merit to all dead people in the past 32 years of the war period, irrespective of the religion race or the creed or caste, Sinhala soldiers died, Muslim soldiers died, Sinhala – Tamil ordinary people died, then the members of the tiger movement died, all these are lives – valuable lives..”
