It is being reported that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support former president Mahinda Rajapaksa on his forthcoming tour of China.
An article in today’s Daily Mirror newspaper quotes sources close to the premier as stating that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support Former President, Mahinda Rajapaksa, on his forthcoming tour of China.
However, when News 1st made inquiries, sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they had not received any instructions from either the Prime Minister’s Office, or the Office of the Former President, in this regard.
