President Maithripala Sirisena has sent a congratulatory message to the President-elect of the US, Donald Trump.President Sirisena in his message stated that the relations between the two countries have been strengthened since his election as President in January 2015.
In the message, President Sirisena also mentions that he looks forward to working closely with Trump upon his assumption of Office as the 45th President of the United States of America in January, and that the two presidents can “elevate the relationship between the two countries to even further heights.”
