The Water Supply and Drainage Board said that preparations are afoot to increase the Water Utility Rates by 30% to be in effect from the 1st of December.
Chairman of the Board Alahudeen Ansar said that the decision was reached after taking into consideration the cost incurred by the government to produce a single unit.
The Chairman added that certain institutions will be given concessions following the increment.
