Pakistan fire update: Approx. 20 to 30 people remain trapped inside tanker

Pakistani fire-fighters were battling to douse a fire still raging on Thursday, more than two days after a series of explosions on a decommissioned oil tanker.

Tuesday’s initial blast occurred as workers were welding near a fuel tank in a ship-breaking yard in Gadani, 45 km North-West of the Fire-fighters from Karachi and from the air force and navy were attempting to put out the blaze.

A huge blast ripped through the oil tanker at a ship-breaking yard, trapping others inside the vessel. It is estimated that there might be 20 to 30 people still trapped inside the tanker.
