KDU graduation ceremony held under auspices of President Sirisena

The 26th Annual Graduation Ceremony of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was held under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena on Wednesday, November 2.

The event which took place at the BMICH, was attended by public representatives and former military commanders.

Speaking at the event, the president said that within the competitiveness that exists among the developed countries in the world today, and what is required in our society and all other sectors in the country is discipline, self control, goodness, quality and maturity.

“Governments in certain countries, when they come into power, enroll the people of the country to the civil security force as voluntary servicemen and provide them training to groom them for their primary discipline”, he added, “compared to other universities, the Kotelawala Defense University is unique as it moulds graduates who are disciplined and dedicated”.
