International arrest warrant for Lanka Enews Editor – what we know

How it all started…

Senior journalist and former Editor of Rivira newspaper Upali Tennekoon and wife were assaulted in January 2009 by ‘four men on motorcycles’. Later,  the suspects were put on parade before Tennekoon and his wife, where they identified the individual who assaulted them.

However, the Lanka Enews website had published a picture of the alleged suspect even before the suspect was produced on parade for the identification process.
