India Chief Minister Jayalalithaa says she has been “reborn”

After more than 50 days in hospital, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has released a letter saying she has been reborn.

Jayalalithaa in the opening of the letter said “Due to the continuous prayers by people in Tamil Nadu, in other states and across the world, I have taken rebirth and I am happy to share this information with you”.

Asking voters in Thanjavur, Aravakurichi and Thiruparankundram to vote for her party, Jayalalithaa said, “I am awaiting the news of party’s victory in all three constituencies”.

She went on to note, she will be happy and will be well to begin work soon when she has the love and affection of people.

On Saturday, November 12, her doctors reportedly said she had completely recovered and would go home whenever she feels fit.
