A fuel – carrying train which was travelling from Kolonnawa to Galle derailed near Balapitiya at dawn today (November 8th).
The Railway Control Room said that there was no train travel from Aluthgama to Ambalangoda, as a result.
Thereby measures have been taken to provide transport to the train passengers via buses from the Ambalangoda Train station to Aluthgama.
The Railway Control Room said that steps have been taken to send the passengers to their destination.
