Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mangala Samaraweera says he personally preferred a different result at the U.S. Presidential Election.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera says, as a person who fought for liberal values throughout his political career, he would have liked a different outcome at the U.S. elections.
However, the minister added that the American people have decided who should lead the United States of America and that he will certainly work with President elect Donald Trump and his administration to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.
