Police investigations have begun on the death of a youth in a house in Hokandara which is said to be owned by Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa. Thalangama police say that the deceased was a 24-year-old male.
The police further noted that the wife of Wimal Weerawansa had said that the body of the boy who was asleep was “found cold” at the residence and was thereafter rushed to the Jayawardenapura hospital.
In addition, statements were recorded from the wife of Wimal Weerawansa and relatives of the deceased youth by the Thalangama police on Wednesday evening.
