Bringing an end to a prolonged period of silence, former Minister Mervyn Silva convened a media briefing at his residence in Narahenpita on Sunday.
“I struck where I needed to back then. I will even strike where I need to today, and even tomorrow”, charged the former minister, adding that there is a suspicion that this was the main reason for not getting a nomination.
He went on to challenge the people in ‘these gangs’ to come contest under the new electoral system, and whatever the ministers and other groups and gangs say, is irrelevant
“What I am saying is that I will come to any position under the new electoral system”,said the former minister
