The Criminal Investigations Department has deployed a special team to Jaffna to probe into the death of two students of the Jaffna University in Kankesanthurai.
When News 1st contacted IGP Pujith Jayasundara in this regard, he said that an independent investigation will be launched into the incident. He added that signs of gun shot wounds were seen on the body of one of the deceased students.
Five police officers have been arrested on suspicion over the death of the two university students in Kankesanthurai.
