A four-member delegation of the European Parliament is set to visit Sri Lanka from Octobr 31 to November 3.
According to the delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka and Maldives, progress on national reconciliation and ways to empower Sri Lankan women, politically and economically, will be the focus of the visit.
According to the press release issued by the delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka, the visiting delegation will also look at the groundwork laid for a successful GSP+ application.
The visiting delegation will be led by Jean Lambert, Chair of the Delegation for Relations with Countries of South Asia, and include Sajjad Karim from UK, Thomas Mann and Ulrike Müller from Germany.
