The 72nd Independence Day celebration will be held Tuesday (4) on a grand scale at Independence Square, Colombo 7, under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.The ceremony planned under the theme, ‘A secured nation - A prosperous country’ will include many parallel activities, and an island-wide tree planting program.
