The Moragahakanda- Kalu Ganga reservoir Project Director Engineer P.B. Wijerathna yesterday reassured people living downstream of the Moragahakanda reservoir that the reported minor leak was not a threat. He said that a small leak had been observed at the upper level of the dam for several days when the reservoir reached its maximum water capacity. The Chinese engineers who built the dam have already planned to look into the leakage as soon as the water level drops and it will take about 10 days to repair that part of the dam.
