
While the management of the Hambantota Port will not be re-negotiated as it is a commercial contract, the Government will retain control of all security aspects of the port, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa told Colombo-based foreign correspondents yesterday.The President also said that the resolution of the UN Human Rights Council pertaining to Sri Lanka would “not be entertained in its current standing”, a communique from the President’s Media Office said.
