Sri Lanka Cabinet of Ministers, headed by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, has taken several decisions to provide relief to the people from taxes after considering the weaknesses in the existing tax system. Accordingly, the government has considered eliminating many existing taxes and amending several other types of taxes.
