The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said that daily commercial flights between newly opened Jaffna International airport and the Chennai and Trichy airports in India would commence from November 10.CAA Director General H. M. M. C. Nimalsiri told the media that the flights would be operated by an Indian Airline. The Alliance-Air, a sister subsidy of Air India wishes to operate seven flights to Jaffna International Airport and returns per week.
