Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne has decided to re-establish the Homeopathic Council which has been defunct after it was dissolved in 2009, the Health Ministry spokesman said. According to the spokesman, Minister’s attention was drawn to this matter on October 11 by a group of homeopathy doctors that represented the previous Homeopathic Council. The Homeopathic Council was established under the Homoeopathy Act No. 07 of 1970.
