Exports up from 13% to 20% of GDP since 2015

 

During the first seven months of this year, Sri Lanka’s export turnover amounted to $ 9.5 billion, while the target had been $ 18.5 billion. However the country will be able to get close to that target in the way it is progressing. So far there has been a 6.6% growth in the export of goods and merchandise during the first seven months, Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrama told Parliament yesterday.
