The Cabinet has approved to pay a lifetime pension which is similar to that of the last salary received by the soldiers of the tri forces, the police and Special Task Force personnel those who have become disabled in action.
This pension will be paid to the disabled war heroes continuously during their lifetime and the payment is effective from today (24). Accordingly, after a disabled war hero is retired, instead the pension and other allowances being paid to him up to date, the last basic monthly salary and all other allowances received by him at the time of his retirement will be paid to all disabled war heroes.
