President Maithripala Sirisena while on a state visit in Cambodia presented ten Na saplings to the Meditation Centre of Ouk-Dong Mountain range. The Na tree, which is the National Tree of Sri Lanka, is not found in Cambodia and therefore the donation is significant and paves the way for strengthening bilateral bonds between the two countries, Chief Incumbents of Cambodia said.

Sri Lanka and Cambodia should work together to spread the teachings of Theravada Buddhism throughout the world, President Maithripala Sirisena has said in Phnom Penh.The President made these comments while attending a religious ceremony at Wat Langka Preah Kosomaram in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on Saturday.In order to achieve this objective measures will be taken to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two countries, he added.
