The Kalmunai North Divisional Secretariat will be upgraded to a full-fledged independent administrative unit in three months, Internal, Home Affairs and Provincial Councils Minister Vajira Abeywardena promised in a statement issued yesterday. This is in response to the ongoing campaigning in the East for such an unit.
