Recently re-elected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Sri Lanka on June 9th, Sunday, after making the first foreign visit of his second term to The Maldives during June 8-9, according to government sources. Modi’s brief one-day stopover in Colombo at the invitation of President Maithripala Sirisena reflects the Delhi’s ‘neighbourhood first’ policy, officials pointed out.
