Colombo (News1st) – An elephant died this morning after colliding with the night mail train operating along the Batticaloa route. The accident in question took place at around 1 am between the Gal Oya and Hatharas Kotuwa areas. Train travel along the Batticaloa route was delayed by around 2 hours due to the accident.
