The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the UN in New York, Dr. Rohan Perera, accepting the Dag Hammarskjöld Medal from the United Nations Secretary General António Guterres on May 24 at the UN Headquarters, on behalf of the family members of Maj H.W.D. Jayawickrama and Sgt S.S. Wijekumara, who sacrificed their lives, whilst performing duties in the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).
