Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith announced that a decision has been reached to recommence Sunday mass at churches in and around Colombo from this Sunday, provided that the Security Forces guarantee the safety of devotees. “Even if it is to pray, we would not want to expose these innocent devotees to danger and we will recommence mass from Sunday provided that safety and security is assured,” he said yesterday shortly after a closed door meeting with the President Maithripala Sirisena.
