Colombo (News1st): The Chief Incumbent of the Sri Viharaya in Veeraketiya, Atanagalle has been arrested on allegations of excavating for treasure in the temple grounds. The raid was carried out based on a tip-off received by the DIG in charge of the Southern Range. The Police were able to discover several equipment used for the excavation.
