DMC issues warning for rain-battered Ratnapura district

landslide warningThe Disaster Management Centre warns of possible landslides, rock falls and slope failures in the Ratnapura District.The areas include Eheliyagoda DS-Karadana East, Kalatuwawa West, Mapota, Bopetta, Mahingoda, Asgangula and Wilegoda. The warning came in as rainfall within the past 24 hours exceeded 100mm.
