Telecommunications levy on internet services to be removed

Businessman using smart phoneThe 10% Telecommunications Levy that was imposed on internet services has been removed.This move was announced by Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera, during a media briefing that is currently underway in Colombo. The cancellation of the levy will come into effect from September 01.
