Ram Nath Kovind to be India’s 14th President

Ram Nath Kovind, the government-backed candidate for President, will be India’s 14th President, winning 65% of the votes. Kovind, 71, is expected to end up with almost 70% of the votes compared to his rival Meira Kumar, the opposition’s candidate.
