The very severe cyclonic storm (“VARDAH”) in the Bay of Bengal has landfall near North Thamilnadu coast yesterday afternoon.
Fairly strong winds at times (up to 40-50kmph) can be expected over the island.
Mainly fair weather condition will prevail over the most parts of the island. However, light showers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces.
