UNP MP S. M. Marikkar took part in an event at the Gammadu Viharaya in SedawattaThe Parliamentarian presented goods to the Welfare Fund of the Viharaya.
Speaking at the event, the MP said, if one drives his/ her vehicle with discipline and if that person do not overtake from the left and if he/ she has insured the vehicle, then there’s no need to worry about the fines.
“Why are they carrying out a strike. This is an amazing country. They are asking for permission to do wrongful acts”, he added, “They are asking for permission to overtake from the left, drive under the influence and to drive fast. You cannot do that. These need to be there if the country needs to be developed”.
