The parliament staff, police and the journalists covering Parliament were given spectacles at a ceremony held at the committee room where the chief guest was Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.
The program was conducted on a concept by Matara District MP Buddhika Pathirana. The eyes were checked free of charge as well.
