President Maithripala Sirisena speaking in Parliament today, Thursday, December 1, requested all trade unions to solve matters through dialogue and not through strike actions and demonstrations which cause severe inconvenience to the general public.
The president emphasised that he is prepared for dialogue at any given time.
The president went on to note that if a matter is not resolved through discussions with the respective minister, the matter could be brought to his direct attention.
