Speaking during a media briefing, MP Hirunika Premachandra said that she visited one of the places where VIP prisoners are being held at the Magazine Prison.
She noted that certain MPs are using false illnesses as excuses, adding that MP Namal Rajapaksa, a rugby player, has been provided with mattresses and pillows and “that’s fair since he is a rugby player.”
”Mohammed Muzammil has been given a special mattress for a backache or neck pain. But I asked how come one MP was being given mattresses for testicular diseases, rashes on their legs and gastritis. Soon after that, I saw MP Udaya Gammanpila hastily making statements. Maybe he is the one that has the disease, after all I did not mention his name…” said MP Hirunika Premachandra.
MP Premachandra also spoke of her father’s murder.
