Youth from Hingurakgoda and the residents of Suhandagama joined hands with the Gammadda initiative today.
The first project under the “Gammadda Tharuna Saviya” programme, which is a leadership training initiative under the theme Beyond tomorrow commenced today at the Rajarata Vidyalaya in Hingurakkgoda.
An international standard exhibition boxing match was held parallel to the leadership training session. During the course of the day, leadership training activities, sports and leisure activities were conducted. Furthermore, screen tests were also conducted to identify talented young men and women. Meanwhile, the drinking water project completed under the Gammadda programme was handed over to the residents in Sansungama. About 200 families will reap the benefits of this project.
