One person died and another sustained injuries as a result of a fire that broke out at the cafeteria located inside the premises of the Colombo Harbour.
The deceased was 38 years old.
The injured individual is receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital
The fire which broke out at 4 a.m on Thursday was doused with the assistance of the fire brigade and the police.
Permission was not granted for our reporters to enter the port premises to capture footage of the fire.
