After taking into consideration the current level in the spread of Dengue, the Health Ministry has cancelled all leave of Public Health Officers in ten districts and other health officials in thirty zones, in order to conduct Dengue eradication programmes.
Thereby, starting Monday, December 12, continuous Dengue Eradication Programmes will be conducted in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle, Jaffna, Ratnapura, Kurunegala, Puttalam, Batticaloa, and Ampara districts.
