Senior Superintendent of Police Kamal Silva has been promoted to the Rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
SSP Kamal Silva headed the operation that discovered the largest haul of cocaine in South Asia aboard a ship anchored at the Colombo Port on Friday December 9.
Police revealed that the market value of the stock of Cocaine weighing nearly 800 kilogrammes, is Rs.12 billion.
