The Police Special Task Force arrested seven persons who were allegedly engaged in illegal sand-mining.
According to the Police Special Task Force, the individuals were arrested during raids conducted in the Galkiriyagama, Siyabalanduwa,Dambadeniya and Dambulla areas.
Four persons were arrested from the Siyabalanduwa, Ahalagasthanna and Higuru areas.
