The All Island Canteen Owners Association, has taken a decision to increase the prices of food items by 10 rupees owing to the recent 30% hike in water tariffs.
Chairman Asela Sampath said the price of a cup of tea will also be increased by 5 rupees.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has decided to impose the price increase in water tariffs from December 1.
